Transport

Before making your travel arrangements, please, make sure to go through the Program page.

Arrival: you should plan on arriving in Bordeaux on April 1st at any time of the day.

Departure: Please, on departure day (Saturday April 4th ) avoid choosing any flight leaving Bodeaux airport before 14:30 or any train leaving Bordeaux Gare Saint Jean station before 13:30. Otherwise, you would miss part of the last conference session and would risk disturbing the other participants.

  • By Air

We recommend you to choose a flight to Bordeaux-Mérignac International Airport (BOD).

Bordeaux airport is located in a 20-minutes taxi ride from the hotel. A cheaper option are city buses with an average ride just over 1 hour from the airport to the conference hotel (from the airport, take line 1 until « Mérignac Centre (Médiathèque) » stop then line 35 until « Manaud » stop or line 1 until  « Palais de Justice » and then line 15 until « Cimetière Nord » stop). For more information about the airport, access and transport, visit the official airport website.

Please, note that certain airlines offer plane + TGV Train joint tickets (TGV Air). This includes Air France and Ethyad among others.

  • By Train

Bordeaux is very well connected to the French high speed TGV railways network. Bordeaux main train station is Gare de Bordeaux Saint-Jean.

Daily, over 30 trains connect Paris Gare Montparnasse station to Bordeaux St Jean station in just a little over 2 hours!

Several direct services are also available daily from Paris Charles de Gaulle airport TGV station to Bordeaux St Jean station with an average ride of 3h30.

We strongly encourage you to book an extra night at the conference hotel and stay until Sunday April 5th. This will be a great opportunity for you to enjoy Bordeaux longer, continue exchanging with other delegates, and perhaps spend some time with the YPA participants. This could also be convenient for you if you happened not to find any suitable flight to leave Bordeaux on Saturday April 4th in the afternoon.

If you have any specific requirements, feel free to contact us.
